Aromatic Wine for Christmas

Ingredients:

Orange鮮橙                                                                                    1pc

Sugar砂糖                                                                                      200g

Red wine紅酒                                                                                1bot

Spices : 

Cinnamon stick肉桂棒                                                                   2rolls

Star anise八角                                                                               4pcs

Clove丁香                                                                                      10pcs

Nutmeg肉荳蔻                                                                               2pcs

 

Process : 

  1. Peel large sections of peel from the orange.
  2. Put the sugar in a pot over a medium heat, add the pieces of peel and squeeze in the orange juice.
  3. Add all the spices and stir in red wine just enough to cover the sugar.
  4. Let it simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved into the red wine and then bring to the boil for about 5 minutes until it becomes a thick syrup.
  5. When the syrup is ready, turn the heat down and add the rest of the wine. Gently heat the wine for around 5 minutes until it is warm.
