Aromatic Wine for Christmas
Ingredients:
Orange鮮橙 1pc
Sugar砂糖 200g
Red wine紅酒 1bot
Spices :
Cinnamon stick肉桂棒 2rolls
Star anise八角 4pcs
Clove丁香 10pcs
Nutmeg肉荳蔻 2pcs
Process :
- Peel large sections of peel from the orange.
- Put the sugar in a pot over a medium heat, add the pieces of peel and squeeze in the orange juice.
- Add all the spices and stir in red wine just enough to cover the sugar.
- Let it simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved into the red wine and then bring to the boil for about 5 minutes until it becomes a thick syrup.
- When the syrup is ready, turn the heat down and add the rest of the wine. Gently heat the wine for around 5 minutes until it is warm.
